Bandaids are now available! Sport one today to send out the message that Behavioral Health Care IS Health Care!
How to wear one? The Behavioral Health Care IS Health Care bandaid stickers are being made in partnership with the members of the Coalition. The recommended location for wearing the bandaid is diagonally across the arm or on the sleeve. It really attracts attention – even on clothing. We would ask that they be worn in any appropriate location. The sticker is not an actual bandaid, but a 4×1 inch sticker that resembles one. To request bandaid stickers, contact:

How to talk to people about Behavioral Health Care. When you are wearing a sticker sometimes people will walk up to you and ask, “Are you ok?” or “What is that?” If you need help knowing what to say, click here. Below are a few quick talking points that explain the reasons for the bandaids.
- The Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services took a 25% cut in 2010, and community mental health services took a 30% cut this budget. Meanwhile, public statements about the budget declared, “health care was held harmless from budget cuts.” Clearly someone doesn’t understand that Behavioral Health Care IS Health Care.
- When federal health care reform is underway in 2014, it won’t pay for necessary services like housing, education or drop-in centers for peer support.
